THE BRONX - A fire that damaged a business in Riverdale earlier this month has been ruled suspicious by authorities.

The fire broke out around 9 p.m. on Sept. 11 in between the Riverdale Deli and Grocery and another business still under construction. The deli was closed for two days and left with minor burn marks.

"The cops were here asking questions, if they know of anybody that would have any problems with them," says Louis Poroc, a worker nearby.

The fire led the business to close for two days, but it has since been reopened.

Fliers seeking information have been posted in the windows in hopes of helping police find whoever caused the fire. No arrests have been made.
