Fire breaks out at City Island Ave. home

THE BRONX - Firefighters battled a blaze Tuesday afternoon at a home on City Island Avenue. Officials say the fire at the four-story home broke out at around 3:50 p.m. and was contained less than an hour later. Neighbors say the ex-girlfriend of a man who lives in a second-floor apartment intentionally set the fire after the two had an argument. Fire officials say the blaze is suspicious and the investigation is ongoing. One firefighter suffered a minor injury while fighting the flames, but was treated at the scene.
