FORDHAM - A three-alarm fire destroyed an apartment building in Fordham this morning.
More than two dozen firefighters rushed to the scene at 2254 Cedar Ave. and West Fordham Road to put out the flames that engulfed the left side of the building.
All the residents made it out of the building safely, however, at least two firefighters were taken to Jacobi Medical Center for minor injuries. Four more firefighters suffered from smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but authorities say the blaze ignited on the top floor of the building.
