Fire erupts in vacant Williamsbridge building on 215th Street

THE BRONX - A New Year's Day fire broke out inside the first floor of a building in Williamsbridge.

Firefighters responded to reports of smoke billowing out of 747 215th St. and say it took about 15 minutes to put out the flames.

The structure is vacant and no injuries were reported.

The cause is under investigation.
