CITY ISLAND - City Island business owners are on edge over a string of robberies on the island, the latest involving a deli.

The owner of the Fire House Corner Deli says the suspects yanked bars off the deli's back window and climbed inside. They then took off with $8,000. The robbery is the third on City Island in the last few weeks.

The other businesses targeted were a pharmacy and a pizzeria. Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
