THE BRONX - A fire burned on Barnes Avenue Monday night, injuring at least one woman.

Firefighters arrived just after 8 p.m. as flames spread from a third-floor bedroom, officials say.

Authorities say a 62-year-old woman suffered burns to her hands, face and torso. She was taken to Jacobi Medical Center. 

An investigation is ongoing.
