SOUNDVIEW - A fire on Quimby Avenue prompted a response from dozens of firefighters Tuesday evening.

Authorities say flames broke out on the second floor of a two-story, private home around 6 p.m.

After firefighters extinguished the flames, a charred window was visible from the street, with the entire frame gone and blackened wood visible under the house's siding.

Officials say the home is currently listed for sale.
