THE BRONX - The first-ever SalsaFest kicked off tonight in The Bronx, with events planned all weekend to celebrate Latino culture in the borough.

The festival began tonight at the Pregones Theater with the screening of "From Mambo to Hip-Hop: A South Bronx Tale," a film about the evolution of Latino culture in The Bronx.

In addition to dancing and music, a concert will be held at St. Mary's Park.
