First neighborhood slow zone installed in Claremont

THE BRONX - The city's first neighborhood slow zone has been designated in The Bronx.

Community leaders say that starting today, there will be a 20 mph speed limit on streets in Claremont. New signs are already up and speed bumps have been installed.

Most residents say they're happy with the reduced speed, especially because there are schools located in the zone.

However, a few residents were upset that a number of badly needed parking spaces were removed to install the slow zone.
