First night of the DNC closes with first lady address

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Political heavyweights kicked off the Democratic National Convention at the Time Warner Cable Arena in downtown Charlotte, N.C. tonight.

The first night of the convention was capped by first lady Michelle Obama who made the case for the president's second term.

Former President Bill Clinton will address the convention tomorrow night.
