RIVERDALE - The NYC Department of Parks & Recreation is investigating mysterious flooding that has beset athletics fields in Van Cortlandt Park since December.

The flooding has made a mess of still-under-construction athletic fields at the Parade Ground. The fields are expected to be used for sports such as baseball and soccer.

The Parks Department says they're in the process of hiring a consultant to test the irrigation system and see if it's to blame.
