THE BRONX - City Harvest is offering cooking classes that teach healthy cooking skills to adults.

Called "Cooking Matters," the class is run by registered dietitian Rosanna Robins, who's worked at City Harvest for five years. The six-week course teaches adults how to incorporate healthier foods into their diets.

Robins says the class prepares healthy recipes together and participates in lessons about nutrition. Students learn to prepare foods they aren't familiar with, and also learn how to make lighter versions of dishes like macaroni and cheese.

Robins says City Harvest is also working with supermarkets and other stores to improve the quality and variety of produce they sell to the public.
