THE BRONX - A struggling Puerto Rican restaurant in Throgs Neck is being featured on the Food Network for its cooking and its chaos.

Luis Concepcion, owner of The Latin Kitchen on East Tremont Avenue, contacted reality show Restaurant Stakeout after months of struggling to stay afloat. The show's food guru, Willie Degel, and his camera crew are known for swooping in to help save troubled eateries.

Concepcion says his problems began in 2010 when his mother, Marlene Garcia, and his head chef were critically injured in a hit-and-run accident. He says stiff competition from other restaurants in the neighborhood has also made it difficult to bring in customers.
