Food trucks roaming the streets with meals for kids

THE BRONX - With summer here and many kids away from the school cafeteria, many kids are without a nutritious lunch.

New York City is trying to combat that with the annual SchoolFood Lunch Program that provides kids with a free lunch every weekday from mobile food trucks.

The kids have a choice of sandwiches, salads and milk.

The program served seven million meals to kids last year.

For locations of the food trucks serving meals, visit the NYC Dept. of Parks and Recreation Website.
