Foodtown supermarket set to reopen after massive 2009 fire

THE BRONX - A Foodtown supermarket destroyed by a massive fire is set to reopen on Bainbridge Avenue in just a few days.

Officials say arson was the cause of the Dec. 2009 fire, which completely destroyed the building. They say the site has been under construction for more than a year, but is finally ready.

Neighborhood residents say they are excited for the reopening and glad they won't have to travel far to other grocery stores anymore.
