THE BRONX - Football players at Herbert H. Lehman High School are tired of coming up short, so now they're filing a class action lawsuit against the city.

Team members say they've never had a home game because their field is 20 yards under regulation size and the city won't fix it.

A former football coach with the school says it's been that way for 30 years, despite an ongoing $5 million project to fix the field.

The Department of Education says it would have to buy land next to the school in order the extend the field. A spokesperson says the field is being renovated as a practice area.
