Fordham coach sets sight on A-10 tournament

THE BRONX - Fordham's Tom Pecora was among the Atlantic 10 coaches who converged on the Barclays Center for media day this week.

The Brooklyn native likes to recruit local talent and says he's happy the new arena will host the postseason tournament for the A-10 in March next year. In his third season at Fordham, Pecora hopes to bring the Rams to the playoffs for the first time.

The league is seen by some as an on-the-rise challenge to the Big East, which has lost powerhouses like Syracuse and Pittsburgh, while the A-10 gained Final Four competitors VCU and Butler.
