Fordham football off to strong start

THE BRONX - The Fordham football team is off to a strong season, eclipsing its win total from a year ago after just three games.

New head coach Joe Moorhead has ramped up the excitement on Rose Hill, pushing the Rams to their second win over the weekend against Cornell. Running back Carlton Koonce scored two touchdowns, 31 carries for 178 yards, and was named Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week.

The team is 2-1 heading into the Liberty Cup game at Columbia this Saturday.
