Fordham Prep snags AA division title

(10/29/07) THE BRONX &舑; The Fordham Prep football team won their second AA division title in a row with a 10-0 victory at Holy Cross over the weekend.

The game was a defensive struggle most of the game. However, in the second, backup quarterback Christopher Moffa took the ball in to the end zone for the 7-0 lead. Moffa was playing for starter Lawrence Desimone, who was benched in the first half for disciplinary reasons.

The score would remain unchanged until the fourth, thanks in part to three interceptions by the Baby Rams. In the fourth, Desimone led his team on a 15-play, 65-yard drive to get into field goal range. Connor Brown then sealed the deal by nailing a 27-yard field goal through the uprights, leading Fordham Prep to the 10-0 victory.
