THE BRONX - It was the first Sunday of this year's NFL season, but it was a tough day for one former Bronx player.

Fordham star John Skelton beat out Kevin Kolb for the starting quarterback spot with the Arizona Cardinals, but he left the game early against Seattle after suffering a low ankle sprain in the fourth quarter.
