Fordham University helps vets transition from battlefield to school

THE BRONX - Veterans enrolled at Fordham University are getting a helping hand transition from the battlefield to the classroom.

The Edge 4 Vets program offers workshops and support to allow them a soft landing returning to the real world.

"I'd say one of my biggest challenges was the academic side of it," said Marine veteran Gary Kucinich. "I've been out of school for 5.5 years, so coming back to school, writing papers, taking final exams... was very difficult."
