THE BRONX - A Bronx man who called a park bench home for three years is now making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate across the borough.

Anthony Cody opened up Tony’s Bargain Thrift Store last year on Boston Road as a way to feed and clothe homeless Bronx residents. Often, Cody will give the donations he receives at his store to those who need them the most.

Once addicted to drugs and homeless himself, Cody says there is nothing more important than taking care of those that need help. He has been drug-free for five years.

"If you're hungry, I'm here to help you,” said Cody. “If you have no clothes, I'm here to help you.”
