NEW YORK - (AP) - Former International Monetary Fund leaderDominique Strauss-Kahn has been moved to a new, more permanentlocation in New York City while awaiting trial in his attemptedrape case.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn was seen smiling Wednesday as he got intoa gray sport utility vehicle. He was flanked by severalplainclothes officers.

A person familiar with his housing arrangements said he is at astately 4-bedroom townhouse in Manhattan's Tribeca neighborhood.The person was not authorized to speak publicly and spoke to TheAssociated Press condition of anonymity.

Strauss-Kahn is free on $1 million bail.

The one-time French presidential contender was jailed for abouta week his May 14 arrest. A hotel maid says he sexually assaultedher in his hotel room. His attorneys have said Strauss-Kahn is notguilty.
