Fourth shooting this week worries residents

THE BRONX - Another shooting yesterday afternoon has residents who live near the 47th precinct worried about their safety.

Three shootings in the area occurred over the weekend at Boston Road, Dyre Avenue and Barnes Avenue. Police say they rushed to the scene of another shooting yesterday afternoon near 30-17 Ely Ave. The victim was found shot in the arm and leg.

Residents say they are worried about the safety of their streets. Councilman Larry Seabrook says he is working with the 47th precinct to step up patrols in the area.

Police are still investigating the shootings. They do not believe the incidents are related. No arrests have been made.
