Freshmen move into Manhattan College

THE BRONX - Many of this year's freshman students from near and far moved into Manhattan College Thursday.

Gabriella Montes, who lives just a few miles away, says she wanted to stay in a dorm to get the full college experience.

"Students that dorm just bond differently than commuter students," she says.

But despite moving out of her mom's house, she says she'll still follow some rules.

"My mom doesn't really like messes," Montes says. "She really doesn't like people eating in beds or in their rooms in general."

The family plans to meet for lunch on Sundays.
