Frustrated tenants: Elevator out for 2 months

THE BRONX - Older and disabled residents have painfully trudged up stairs because they say the only elevator at 3136 Perry Ave. has been broken for more than two months.

The elevator has eight active complaints, one of which notes that conditions of the building could be dangerous to life. The superintendent of the building says the elevator has been difficult to repair and is more than 80 years old.

The management company, SG2, could not be reached for comment. The superintendent says he expects the elevator to be repaired by the end of the week.
