Funeral held for slain cab driver

Mourners attended the funeral service of a murdered Morrisania taxi driver Friday. Mamadou Barry was shot and killed in his cab Monday.

MORRISANIA - Mourners attended the funeral service of a murdered Morrisania taxi driver Friday.

Mamadou Barry was shot and killed in his cab Monday.

The service was held at the Futa Islamic Center at Third Avenue and East 166th Street.

Barry is survived by his pregnant wife and three children. His body will be sent to his original home in West Africa.

Police arrested Nicholas Sanchez in connection with the slaying.
