Gala honors those making a difference

THE BRONX - A Bronx Chamber of Commerce gala Thursday honored those making a difference in the borough.

Actor Richard Gere was among those honored at the event for his part in a new animated film called ?Henry and Me.? The film, about a dying boy who is comforted by the Yankees, features Gere's voice and was the brainchild of Bronx resident and diehard Yankees fan, Ray Negron.

?Henry and Me? is still in the production stage and is set to come out next year.

Several business owners were also honored for contributions they have made to the borough.
