THE BRONX - With all the Fourth of July festivities that went on yesterday, one thing that was expected today was dirty parks.

At Clason Point Park, one of the great places to see fireworks, trash was piled high and overflowing from the garbage cans. Empty bottles and paper were left on the grass.

The Department of Parks and Recreation said that the day after July Fourth is one of the busiest days of the year for its staff, and it added extra workers to clean up around the clock and have the parks ready for the public.

Those who go to a park today that hasn't been cleaned up yet can pitch in by leaving any garbage as close to a trash can as possible.
