THE BRONX - Climbing gas prices are not only affecting Bronx drivers, they're also threatening to drown out some local boaters.

Vincent Fiore, of the City Island Yacht Sales & Marina, says he's worried about how high costs will affect their fuel dock and business when flounder season opens April 1. He predicts boaters will sit on their boats and stay local to save gas.

According to Capt. Chris Cullen, the Island Current Fleet is also dealing with the price problem, but doesn't plan to pass the extra cost on to customers.
