THE BRONX - A gay Bronx couple says it is overjoyed and ready to walk down the aisle on Sunday, the first day that the state's same-sex marriage law takes effect.

Rev. Carmen Hernandez and her partner, Doris, are one of the dozens of couples who won a city lottery to get married this weekend. The pair says it feels as though it won $1 million.

Hernandez has also been named the godmother of the Dominican Day Parade, where the couple will exchange vows again on a float for all to see.
