THE BRONX - Police have arrested a man who they say attempted to run over a police officer with an ATV. 

According to investigators, George Evangelista intentionally rammed the four-wheeler he was riding into a uniformed cop, who was also riding an ATV, on July 4. 

The 44-year-old fled the scene and the officer sustained minor injuries. 

Evangelista now faces several charges, including assault on a police officer and reckless endangerment.
