THE BRONX - Eating a short stack of pancakes today won't only taste good, it will also do something good for charity.

IHOP is offering free pancakes for a cause as part of the 10th Annual National Pancake Day. In exchange for a short stack, it is suggested that customers make a donation to the Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Milagros Ramos, who manages an IHOP on White Plains Road, says the money stays close to home, going directly to hospitals caring for kids in the Bronx.

Jeanae Escobar celebrated her 13th birthday with her family this morning at the IHOP.

"Many of our family members have been born and attended to at those hospitals," said Jeanae. "I don't really care about the free pancakes. I just want to help. That's what I'm all about."

Remember, pancakes aren't just for breakfast at IHOP. Locations across the borough are open until 10 p.m.
