'Gingerbread Lane' sets Guinness world record

THE BRONX - The man who set the world record for largest gingerbread village shared his edible homemaking wisdom with News 12 The Bronx.

Jon Lovitch owns the Guinness world record for Gingerbread Lane – which consists of 1,102 individual gingerbread homes.

He says the fun part of constructing the homes is watching people's reaction to his creation.

"It's a really neat feeling to say, 'wow, I created that euphoria. I created that emotion.' It's pretty awesome," says Lovtich.

Gingerbread Lane is currently on exhibit at the New York Hall of Science in Queens. It will be on display until Jan. 10.
