THE BRONX - Gino's Pastries, reaping the benefits of a Broadway show that featured the store's name on stage, says it has grown from locally popular into a shop that attracts global travelers.

The East 187th Street bakery -- arguably already famous as the "Cannoli King" -- has been around since 1960.

Chazz Palminteri used the store's name in his Broadway musical "A Bronx Tale," based on the 1993 movie of the same name. Owner Jerome Raguso says customer traffic has since spiked.

Raguso says he now gives "international tours" to visitors from around the world every Wednesday. He says they ask him to sign their playbills.

"I wish my dad was alive to see this," he says.

His father opened the store after coming to the United States from Italy -- reportedly carrying just $500, plus a penny for good luck.
