MOUNT EDEN - A community garden is going from run-down to renovated in no time, all thanks to volunteers.

People working at Global Energy Efficiency in the South Bronx planted trees and flowers at the 176th Street Community Garden on Thursday.

The team worked in partnership with the Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition.

People in the area say they hope kids will get involved in the garden. Neighbors have proposed starting a partnership with nearby schools.
