THE BRONX - A Bronx woman says her gold bracelet was switched while at a local jewelry shop for repairs.

According to Rafaela Figueroa, she went to A&A Gifts on White Plains Road to get the bracelet her husband gave her 10 years ago fixed. However, she claims that store owner Arthur Myshaykov returned a different bracelet to her.

Myshaykov insists that the bracelet she got back is the one that she brought in, except for being cleaned up and polished. Police came to the store, but told Figueroa she will have to file a lawsuit in civil court.

Consumer Affairs says that to help protect your property, always ask for a receipt or contract with a detailed description of the item and a picture.
