Goulden Ave. to close for 6-month construction project

THE BRONX - A major thoroughfare in Bedford Park will close this summer to connect a pipeline from the main Croton facility, the Jerome Park Reservoir?s shaft and meter chamber.

Construction will cause a partial or total closure of Goulden Avenue for six months to one year in order to connect pipes beneath the street, according to the Department of Environmental Protection.

The work will stretch from under the Mosholu golf course in the southeast corner of Van Cortlandt Park to the part of Goulden Avenue across the street from the Bronx High School of Science and Dewitt Clinton High School?s baseball fields.
