Gov. Andrew Cuomo is warning all New Yorkers to be prepared for heavy rains, potential flooding and the possible arrival of Hurricane Joaquin this weekend.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo is warning all New Yorkers to be prepared for heavy rains, potential flooding and the possible arrival of Hurricane Joaquin this weekend.

He is also reminding New Yorkers to sign up for NY-alert to receive immediate alerts on flood warnings and severe storms.

Residents say they are preparing themselves for what Hurricane Joaquin may bring to the borough.
