THE BRONX - The Grand Concourse Historic District will be granted landmark status by the city.

The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission says buildings such as the Concourse Plaza Hotel reflect a century's worth of rich architectural history in the borough.

Joyce Killmer Park and Franz Sigel Park will also get landmark protection.
