Grand opening held for expanded Tremont Health Center

THE BRONX - A grand opening ceremony was held today for the Tremont Health Center on Third Avenue.

The center will expand community access to primary care and social services. Previously, the clinic only provided services to women, but now it will be open to men and children as well.

Local officials say it is a much-needed addition to the community.

"It's our responsibility at Community Healthcare Network to ensure that people get preventative and primary care so they do not get sick and they can protect their families," says Catherine Abate, of the Community Healthcare Network.

The Third Avenue location is the Community Healthcare Network's second clinic in The Bronx and 12th in the city.
