THE BRONX - Bronx residents are taking notice of city-sponsored anti-smoking ads.

The commercials are part of the NYC Health Department's Quit Smoking campaign.

Some Bronx residents believe the ads are effective, while others find them too graphic.

The latest numbers from the Health Department suggest the ads are working.

Smoking among adults in the city is down 7 percent, and Bronx teens have the lowest instance of smoking in all five boroughs.
