BEDFORD PARK - City officials are looking to implement a new shuttle van plan as major MTA bus cuts are set to go into effect next week. The plan specifically targets Bronx neighborhoods most affected by the cuts, which involve nearly two dozen bus lines. The pilot program will dispatch livery vans as alternate transportation for residents who would otherwise have no other means of transport. The vans will have specific pick-up and drop-off points, and traveling fees will be as low as $2 per passenger.

The plan was suggested by the city's Taxi & Limousine Commission.
