Group: Thanksgiving meal will cost less in 2009

A report by a nonprofit group says families feeling an economic pinch may be able to feed a group of 10 with less than $50

THE BRONX - A report by a nonprofit group says families feeling an economic pinch may be able to feed a group of 10 with less than $50 for Thanksgiving.

The American Farm Bureau claims prices this year will make the meal more affordable than in 2008. A traditional meal will cost $42.91 in 2009, down $1.70 from last year, the group says.

Bronx residents plan to put the findings to the test this week.
