Grow NYC farmers market on East 149th St. offers fresh local produce outside Lincoln Hospital

THE BRONX - Kale, spinach and squash are just some of the seasonal veggies Bronx residents will find at numerous farmers markets throughout the city.

The green market, on East 149th Street, outside Lincoln Hospital, is one of more than 50 farmers markets run by Grow NYC throughout the city.

The market offers an array of locally grown fruits and vegetables. One stand from Orange County grows Mexican vegetables and has been a hit in the Bronx.

Residents that spoke to News 12 say they enjoy coming to these green markets because it provides many healthy choices for the dinner table.

The farmers market on East 149th will be here until Nov. 22.
