THE BRONX - Jason Gonzalez has pleaded guilty in the shooting of Bronx-born University of Arizona basketball star Kevin Parrom.

Prosecutors charged that Gonzalez kicked open Parrom's bedroom door and tried to fight him back in September 2011. During the fight, Gonzalez fired four times, hitting Parrom in the hand and knee.

The bullet remains in Parrom's leg. The Saint Raymond's alumnus returned to play basketball for Arizona last year, but later broke his foot.

Gonzalez is set to be sentenced next month and faces up to six years in prison.
