THE BRONX - The owner of a Bronx salon is dead after a horrific crash on the Tappan Zee Bridge Tuesday.

According to police, 56-year-old Hannah Ayeh-Brachie was killed when 69-year-old Michael Schechel drove the wrong way on the span, slamming into the Nissan she was riding in head first and causing it to roll over several times.

Ayeh-Brachie owns Jingles Salon on East 181st Street in Tremont. Other neighborhood business owners say she was a hard worker and will be greatly missed.

Five cars in total were involved in the accident, and several other people were hurt, including Ayeh-Brachie's husband, who remains hospitalized at Westchester Medical Center.

State police say no arrests have been made, but the investigation is ongoing.
