THE BRONX - A local skate store is using spiritual virtues with a passion for skateboarding to connect with the community.

Heavenbound7 Sk8 Shop on Fulton Avenue is run by Henry Pena, who once served as a church youth leader to guide children down the right path.

Kids in the community who come to the skate shop say Pena has been a big influence in their lives. For them, the skateboard serves as a tool for expression to help them grow and develop.

Pena is also the coach to a competitive skate team that travels to various locations in the tri-state area representing the Bronx.
