Heavy metal concert comes to Yankee Stadium

THE BRONX - Area businesses are hoping to cash in on a heavy metal concert that includes one band with roots in The Bronx.

Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer and Bronx-born Anthrax will all rock at Yankee Stadium tomorrow night.

Business owners are participating in a "Welcome Metal Heads" promotion to encourage fans to visit their locations during the concert. Restaurants and bars will hang banners and play music from each of the bands that will perform.

Some of the restaurants will offer themed specials like "Seven Slayer Cake" and "Big Four Fries." And many are confident that fans will flock to the borough for the concert.

Many Yankees fans will be familiar with Metallica. For years closer Mariano Rivera has entered games to the band's legendary "Enter Sandman."
