THE BRONX - Before Jennifer Lopez made her way back to the Bronx, News 12 caught up with one of her teenage friends in a Skype interview.

Lopez joined Preston High School as a sophomore, where she met Elizabeth Ramos-Lopez.

Ramos-Lopez says that they were very close - even partners in crime, like the day they skipped school to go to Jones Beach.

After the girls graduated, Lopez left her Castle Hill roots to be a "Fly Girl" dancer for the comedy show "In Living Color."

Ramos-Lopez says J. Lo made multiple trips across the country from California to attend her wedding.

The two of them lost touch around the time Lopez married her first husband. It's been almost 20 years since the pair has reunited.
